Problems solved by technology

Due to the instability of the space-based platform, even in staring observation, the background and the camera will move relative to each other, and the moving target cannot be obtained by a simple frame difference method, which makes target detection difficult
At the same time, the attitude changes of the space moving target make its brightness constantly change, sometimes strong and sometimes weak, when the brightness is low, the target may even be lost in a single frame, and it is difficult to distinguish stars and targets in a single frame
[0004] Many researchers have proposed a variety of space object detection algorithms for this problem. The core idea is to use the relative invariance of star positions to register images and filter out background stars. Therefore, there are problems of large amount of calculation and poor real-time performance. Consider the characteristics of space-based measured images

Embodiment Construction

[0043] figure 1 For the flow chart of the present invention, below in conjunction with a specific embodiment, a kind of video image space moving target detection method based on motion information of the present invention is described in further detail, and its specific steps are as follows:

[0044] Step 1: Given the original image f(x,y,t);

[0045] Using a video image captured by a satellite in orbit for the experiment, the image size is 871×527, the gray level is 8bit, and 20 consecutive frames of images are processed. figure 2 for frame 9.

[0046] Step 2: denoise the image by mean filtering;

[0047] The calculation method of the mean filtering is:

[0048] g ( x , y ) = w ( x , y ) * f ( x , y ) ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a motion-information-base spatial moving object detection method of a video image. Denoising processing is carried out on a given original image by mean filtering; a single frame of image is separated by using a variable threshold value based on local statistics; an image point coordinate is calculated by using a gray weighted centroid method; and then an object is detected based on differences between imaging motion features of a fixed star and an object during satellite staring observation. The method has the following advantages: firstly, because the variable threshold value based on local statistics is used for separating the single frame of image, a phenomenon that the background intensity distribution of the spaced-based shot image is not uniform due to stray light is fully considered, so that a problem that an image can not be separated by a global threshold value can be solved; and secondly, an object is detected only based on the motion information without any fixed start rectification process, thereby substantially accelerating the object detection speed.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of image processing, and relates to a target detection method in the field of aerospace, in particular to a target detection method based on motion information for video images taken by satellites with deep space as the background. Background technique: [0002] The satellite can realize "staring" observation of a certain area of interest through attitude maneuver control, and obtain continuous video image information of the target area. Video images contain more information than static single images, can detect the occurrence of dynamic events, and can reconstruct images based on sequence images in video images to obtain higher-resolution images. Decisions provide first-hand information. [0003] The observation of space moving objects by satellites, such as small satellites, can provide an important basis for satellite health judgment and space safety monitoring. Due to the instability of the space-ba...
