Abstract

The invention relates to an interior panel (2, 2') for a vehicle hood (58). The inner panels (2, 2') include a peripheral portion (4) extending along at least a portion of the periphery of the inner panel and a central portion (6) positioned within the peripheral portion (4). The central portion has a longitudinal extension (a) and a transverse extension (b). The central portion includes a reinforcing frame (16, 16') partly forming an arcuate member (18). The longitudinal extension (c) of the arcuate member is equal to or greater than 30% of the longitudinal extension (e) of said inner panel (2, 2'). The transverse extension (d) of the arcuate member is equal to or greater than 40% of the transverse extension (f) of said inner panel (2, 2'). The invention also relates to a bonnet (58) comprising such an inner panel (2, 2') and an outer panel (56).
