Embodiments of the invention provide a method and a device for loading a control interface of an intelligent device. The method comprises the steps that a second instant messaging account bound with a login first instant messaging account is displayed in an instant messaging client side, wherein the second instant messaging account is an instant messaging account configured for the intelligent device; when the second instant messaging account is triggered, the control interface corresponding to the second instant messaging account is requested to load from an instant messaging server; and a control for controlling corresponding to the intelligent device is loaded in the control interface. Through adoption of the method, instant messaging accesses the intelligent device, so that a lot of independent applications are prevented from being installed, and convenience of control operation is greatly improved. As the amount of the applications is reduced, terminal resource occupation is also reduced, and furthermore, not every producer needs to configure an independent application for each intelligent device, so that the development cost of the intelligent device is lowered.
