The invention provides a method for mixed planting of cotton,
sorghum and
green manure crop to improve
saline-alkaline soil and belongs to the technical field of
crop mixed planting. The method includes following steps: performing deep ploughing and unturned soil sunning from October to November of the first year to obtain
saline-alkaline soil after unturned soil sunning; performing watering and salt pressing on the
saline-alkaline soil before seeding cotton and
sorghum to obtain saline-alkaline soil after salt pressing in the second year; in the middle to late of April of the second year, seeding cotton and
sorghum in the saline-alkaline soil after salt pressing to form a cotton seeding belt and a sorghum
seedling belt;
intercropping cotton and sorghum by uniform amplitude:
intercropping7 rows of sorghum with 4 rows of cotton; in the middle to late of August of the second year, harvesting sorghum, and
broadcasting green manure crop seeds at sorghum stubbles; on October of the secondyear, defoliating the cotton for accelerating
ripening, and harvesting the cotton; from late March to early April of the third year, directly turning and burying the
green manure crop, and performingrotary
tillage to prepare soil. After adopting the method for mixed planting,
salt content of land is remarkably lowered, effect on improving the saline-alkaline soil is obvious, and yield of the cotton and the sorghum can be increased effectively.
