potassium sulfate byproduct
hydrochloric acid, and discloses a novel purification
system and a purification method for
potassium sulfate byproduct
hydrochloric acid. The
system comprises an adsorption unit, a feeding pipeline, a discharging pipeline and a regeneration pipeline, the adsorption unit comprises two stages of adsorption towers which are connected in series, the first-stage adsorption
tower is filled with resin for adsorbing iron ions, and the second-stage adsorption
tower is filled with resin for adsorbing free
chlorine. The method based on the
system comprises the following steps: enabling yellow A acid
hydrochloric acid which is a byproduct generated in production of
potassium sulfate by a Mannheim method to pass through the first-stage adsorption
tower at a certain flow rate, and adsorbing to remove iron ions; the hydrochloric acid treated in the step S1 passes through a second-stage adsorption tower, and free
chlorine is removed through adsorption; and collecting hydrochloric acid flowing out
after treatment in the step S2 to obtain colorless and transparent purified hydrochloric acid. The method is high in efficiency and good in economical efficiency, clear and transparent A acid can be stably produced, the content of iron ions in the obtained purified hydrochloric acid is smaller than or equal to 5 ppm, and the content of free
chlorine is smaller than or equal to 10 ppm.
