This invention relates to the field of daily chemical products technology, and discloses a method for preparing polyglutamic acid chelated zinc, a polyglutamic acid chelated zinc composition, and its application. The method includes: dissolving an appropriate amount of sodium γ-polyglutamate powder in water to prepare a sodium γ-polyglutamate aqueous solution; adjusting the pH value to 3.5-4.0; heating to 80-90℃ and maintaining for 6-8 h; cooling to room temperature; and ultrafiltration to obtain a low molecular weight γ-polyglutamic acid aqueous solution; adjusting the pH value of the low molecular weight γ-polyglutamic acid aqueous solution to 4.0-4.5; adding ammonia and water-soluble zinc salt according to a preset ratio; stirring thoroughly to dissolve evenly; and then continuously heating in a water bath at 60-80℃ for 2-4 h to obtain a product solution; ultrafiltration of the product solution through a 0.8-1.2 kDa ultrafiltration membrane; and spray drying the obtained filtrate to obtain polyglutamic acid chelated zinc. The polyglutamic acid chelated zinc obtained by this method has a high chelation rate, very few free zinc ions, relatively stable physicochemical properties, and is produced under mild conditions, with a simple method and no organic solvents.
