The method comprises the following steps: collecting target data; determining multiple to-be-selected velocity models needed for treating target data; acquiring a common imaging point gather corresponding to each to-be-selected velocity model; acquiring a curvature parameter and a migration result corresponding to each to-be-selected velocity model based on the common imaging point gather; performing twice weighted stacking on each migration result by use of the corresponding curvature parameter, so as to obtain two path integration imaging profiles; respectively calculating a coherent value of the corresponding imaging point gather corresponding to each to-be-selected velocity model and coherent values of the path integration imaging profiles; and determining a target velocity model among the to-be-selected velocity models based on the coherent values, wherein the target velocity model is used for establishing a final migration velocity model. According to the method and the system, curvature is adopted for weighing in a process of determining weighing parameters of paths, so that higher precision can be provided for velocity extraction, and further the velocity modeling quality is improved.
