Embodiment Construction

[0046] The preferred embodiments of the invention will be further described in detail below.

[0047] Such as figure 1 As shown, a system for distributing content based on edge wireless hotspots includes a scheduling server, a CDN server, wireless hotspots and users (mobile phones, tablets, personal computers, etc.) located in each sub-area.

[0048] A method for distributing content based on edge wireless hotspots, using the above-mentioned system, comprising the following steps:

[0049] S1, divide the CDN area into multiple sub-areas. First, the CDN area can be divided according to the actual user video viewing record data and the actual wireless hotspot distribution data.

[0050] S2, the wireless hotspot of each sub-area collects the video viewing records of the users in this sub-area and periodically reports to the scheduling server, and the scheduling server predicts the popular video content of each sub-area in the future set time period according to the video viewin...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for performing content distribution based on edge wireless hotspots. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps that: S1, a content distribution network (CDN) region is partitioned into a plurality of sub-regions; S2, the wireless hotpots in the sub-regions collect video watching records of users in the sub-regions and periodically report the collected video watching records to a scheduling server, and the scheduling server predicts popular video content of the sub-regions in a future set time interval according to the video watching records; S3, a CDN server duplicates the popular video content to the wireless hotspots in corresponding sub-regions to store under the condition that a current bandwidth is smaller than a set bandwidth; and S4, the users check whether the video content is stored in the wireless hotspots or not when requesting the video content, if so, directly acquire the video content from the wireless hotspots, and otherwise request the video content from the CDN server. Through adoption of the method and the device, the user experience can be improved, and meanwhile the service overhead of a CDN system is reduced.

Description

【Technical field】 [0001] The invention relates to a method and device for distributing content based on edge wireless hotspots. 【Background technique】 [0002] The video traffic in the network increases rapidly and becomes the main part of the network traffic. In order to alleviate the load of CDN content servers, meet the high bandwidth requirements of video distribution, and improve user experience, content distribution service providers deploy more servers to the edge closer to users. However, how close the server should be deployed to the users to meet the user's requirements for service quality improvement and service cost reduction is an urgent problem to be solved. [0003] In order to improve the efficiency of content optimization, the existing methods are mainly divided into: (1) greedily set the optimal location of each server based on the given number of servers; content on edge servers. However, the current method cannot guarantee the optimal user experience a...
