Abstract

The invention relates to an aluminum alloy melting covering agent which consists of the following components in parts by mass: 8-16 parts of boron carbide, 5-10 parts of silica sand, 12-25 parts of nano ceramics, 12-20 parts of aluminum oxide, 15-26 parts of rice husk ash, 10-30 parts of modified expanded perlite, 8-20 parts of wollastonite and 8-10 parts of sodium fluosilicate. The melting covering agent integrates multiple functions such as oxygen removal, gas removal and impurity removal and has relatively strong ability in adsorption, dissolution and combination slagging. The oxide inclusion in the molten aluminum alloy can be reduced while the hydrogen and oxygen and metal oxides adsorbed thereon are removed. Due to the high surface tension between the aluminum alloy melting covering agent and the melt, the slag can be driven to float upward so that the slag and the molten aluminum are separated well and the effects of refining and impurity removing and melt purifying are realized. The aluminum alloy melting covering agent has relatively strong chemical stability and thermal stability, avoids corrosive effect on the molten aluminum and furnace lining and guarantees original components and performance of the alloy.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an aluminum alloy smelting covering agent, which belongs to the technical field of aluminum smelting. Background technique [0002] Aluminum and aluminum alloys often contain impurity elements such as hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, lead, bismuth, and arsenic in the smelting process. These impurity elements have a great influence on the thermal conductivity and processing performance of aluminum. For example, oxygen and sulfur are likely to cause "cold brittleness" of castings, lead and bismuth are likely to cause "hot brittleness" of materials, and hydrogen is the most common and most harmful gas in aluminum, which will cause a large number of pipes to foam and cause serious quality accidents. Adding an appropriate amount of smelting covering agent in the smelting process of aluminum and aluminum alloy can play the role of degassing, slag removal and grain refinement. [0003] At present, the methods for removing hydrogen during re...
