Abstract

The method for establishing the link comprises the steps of receiving a command which instructs to modify the first address of a first port into a second address by a starter, and adding the second address after confirming that the first address and the second address are the addresses belonging to different network segments; selecting the address in the idle state from the addresses which are in the same network segment with the second address, sending a command which instructs to replace the third address of a second port with the address in the idle state to a target, and deleting the first address of the starter; and establishing a new link for operating business. According to the method for establishing the link, when the port address of the starter changes at different network segments, the new link can be automatically established through re-determining the port address of the target in the link, and thereby the business disruption occurring when the port address changes is avoided.
