The access control method comprises the following steps of enabling the terminal equipment to search a neighborhood, and measuring signals of the searched neighborhood to obtain a first signal intensity value; determining a channel of the neighborhood corresponding to the first signal intensity value; enabling the terminal equipment to determine whether the channel corresponding to the first signal intensity value is marked as a channel with limited access or not; when the channel is the channel with limited access, decreasing the first signal intensity value to obtain a second signal intensity value; enabling the terminal equipment to send the second signal intensity value to wireless access network equipment. The access control method has the advantage that the terminal equipment actively decreases the signal intensity value of the neighborhood corresponding to the channel with the limited access, so that when the wireless access network equipment is used for distributing the access/dwelling neighborhood for the terminal equipment, the number of accessed neighborhoods corresponding to the channel with limited access is reduced, and the disconnecting rate of the terminal equipment is decreased.
