PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control unit, which is simple and inexpensive, capable of effectively utilizing a space of the inside and the outside of a control board to which the motor control unit is attached.SOLUTION: A motor control unit 1 includes: a base plate part 2; a left side plate part 3 and a right side plate part 4 which are connected substantially vertically to a surface of the base plate part 2 on left and right sides of the base plate part 2; a top plate part 5 which is connected substantially vertically to the surface of the base plate part 2 on an upper side of the base plate part 2; and a bottom plate part 6 which is connected substantially vertically to the surface of the base plate part 2 on a lower side of the base plate part 2. A housing in a rectangular parallelepiped shape is formed from the base plate part 2, the left side plate part 3, the right side plate part 4, the top plate part 5, and the bottom plate part 6. The housing includes an opening part of which one surface is opened. The housing is disposed on the control board which is sized so as to include the housing. In the housing, a semiconductor device for supplying power to a control object device and heat radiation parts (a cooling fin 13 and a fan 14) for radiating heat generated by the semiconductor device are disposed.
