Abstract

The invention relates to a real time video interactive auction system and a method. The system comprises an auction unit, a bidding customer's terminal, and a backstage unit. The auction unit sends video and audio information of an auction site to the bidding customer's terminal through the backstage unit in a real time manner. The auction unit also senses the occurrence of an auction triggering event, and once such an event is sensed, the information of an auctioned article is sent to the backstage unit; the backstage unit sends the auction information of the auctioned article it has received to the bidding customer's terminal, and transmits bidding information from the bidding customer's terminal back to the auction unit. The backstage unit concludes or ends the auction when it receives the order from the auction unit to abort the triggering event.
