Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for accessing a smart camera. The method comprises the following steps: detecting an access medium for accessing a first smart camera; generating a corresponding first access request when that the access medium is a local area network is detected, wherein the first access request carries an access password; sending the first access request to the first smart camera in order that the first smart camera accepts access after pass of verification of the access password in the first access request. Through adoption of the method and the device, the first smart camera can be accessed through a local equipment access authentication mechanism when a terminal and the first smart camera are in the same local area network but cannot access the Internet, so that the security in accessing the smart camera is improved; the personal demand of a user on access to the smart camera is met; and the user experience is improved.
