Abstract

The invention provides a sewing machine and a security protection device for application of the sewing machine. The sewing machine comprises an infrared sensor, a processor, a driving unit, an electromotor and a position detection unit, wherein the processor is electrically connected with the infrared sensor; the driving unit is electrically connected with the processor; the electromotor is electrically connected with the driving unit; the position detection unit is electrically connected with the processor and the electromotor. According to the sewing machine, whether fingers of operators approach to the machine can be sensed by the infrared sensor, when finger approaching is sensed, the electromotor can be locked in a present position, then the electromotor cannot be started to hurt fingers even if a pedal is trodden by the operators by mistake when the fingers of the operators approach to the infrared sensor.
