The invention relates to a bulldozer torque converter locking and unlocking control method which comprises the following steps: acquiring first corresponding relation data between a turbine speed and a turbine output torque of a torque converter at a locked state; acquiring second corresponding relation data between the turbine speed and the turbine output torque of a torque converter at an unlocked state; searching an overlapping point turbine speed corresponding to an overlapping point in the first corresponding relation data and the second corresponding relation data; calculating a critical engine speed corresponding to the overlapping point turbine speed according to preset corresponding relation data between the turbine speed and the engine speed; and monitoring locking and unlocking of the engine speed torque converter. According to the bulldozer torque converter locking and unlocking control method, the detection of the turbine speed under a locked condition of the torque converter is converted into detection of the engine speed, so that whether the torque converter is needed to be locked or not can be judged according to the change of the engine speed. As the existing engine speed detection technology is relatively mature, the acquired engine speed is relatively accurate, and the manufacturing cost of a bulldozer can be further reduced.
