Abstract

This application provides a virtual desktop allocation method and apparatus. The method includes: establishing a correlation between a terminal device group and an IP network segment; acquiring a correlation between MAC addresses of terminal devices and IP addresses; after a virtual desktop access request packet sent by a first terminal device is received, searching for a first terminal device group corresponding to a source MAC address of the virtual desktop access request packet, and searching for a first virtual desktop resource pool corresponding to the first terminal device group; and selecting one VM from the first virtual desktop resource pool, and allocating the selected VM to the first terminal device.
