Abstract

The invention discloses a navigation method based on time pre-estimation. The method comprises the following steps: a processing module receives target location and current location to generate a navigation route and then sends the navigation route to a road condition acquisition unit; the road condition acquisition unit calculates traffic jam time and sends the traffic jam time to the processing module; and the processing module sends the navigation route and the traffic jam time to an information receiving module. By adding a traffic jam time estimation module into the navigation system, license plate recognition equipment calculates traffic jam time at the road section at current time according to time for a same vehicle passing the congested rood. The system is convenient and fast, provides a navigation map for a driver and is additionally provided with traffic jam time pre-estimation. Thus, the system is convenient for the driver to more visually estimate the arrival time and brings convenience to people's daily work and life.
