Problems solved by technology

[0008] Another problem concerns the fact that those closures themselves do not contain an indication of tampering, so that a label or other similar element needs to be applied after the cap has been placed on the bottle for this purpose

Embodiment Construction

[0021] exist figure 1 In , a bottle (only partly shown) is designated B, the neck C of which is provided with two seats S facing each other.

[0022] The mechanical closure for bottles or similar containers, generally designated 1 , comprises a cap 3 provided with a transverse channel 41 closed on the upper side by a cover 42 so as to define a through hole 4 .

[0023] The cover 42 is in the form of a disc and may bear a characteristic logo of the producer or of the beverage contained in the bottle 1 .

[0024] Extending in the hole 4 is a central bridge member 6 with a structure 5 which is preferably generally inverted U-shaped. A bridge member acts as a pin by which the cover 3 is hinged about the axis X in a pivoting manner.

[0025] At the opposite sides of the central bridge member 6, the U-shaped structures form corresponding tie rods 7, each tie rod 7 is fixedly connected to each other via a common connection with the central bridge member 6, so that on the opposite s...

Abstract

A mechanical closure for bottles and the like, comprising a cap (3) hinged in an oscillating manner about an axis (X) and a pair of tie rods (7) each at its first end (9) is hingedly connected to the opposite side of the cover (3) relative to the axis (X) and to the corresponding first end (11) of the corresponding arm (12) at its opposite second end (10). Each arm (12) is provided at its second opposite end (13) with a corresponding pin (14), which is coaxial and intended to articulate the arm (12) to the neck (C) of the bottle. The arms (12) are connected to each other by an arc (15) arranged so that each arm (12) is jointly actuated for rotation about a corresponding pin (14). The mechanical closure includes a tamper indicator (16) arranged to indicate a first opening of the mechanical closure (1). The tamper indicator (16) includes a strap (17) connected to the arm (12) and / or the tie rod (7) on the side opposite the arc (15), thereby preventing the arm (12) from turning around the corresponding The pin (14) swings.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a mechanical closure for bottles and the like, of the type comprising the features set forth in the preambles of the independent claims. Background technique [0002] Such closures, also known as swing caps, typically include a pair of arms that are hinged to the neck of the bottle so as to swing relative to relative pivot points between the open and closed positions. The closure also includes an arc extending in a bridge-like manner between the arms and arranged to move away from the neck of the bottle when the arms are swung toward the open position, and alternately, when the arms are swung toward the closed position movement towards the neck of the bottle. [0003] The closure also includes a lid hinged between a pair of tie rods generally formed from metal wire folded in a U-shaped fashion, the prongs of the lid engaging the arms via a central bridge member. [0004] As the arm swings towards the closed position, the pull...
