Abstract

The invention provides a method for protecting eyes. The method comprises following steps: determining the actual distance H between an upper eyelid and a lower eyelid of a user currently; when the detected actual distance H is no more than a preset distance h between the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid in a squint state for the user, adjusting the screen parameters as preset values. According to the invention, through comparing the actual distance H and the preset distance h between the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid of a user, whether the user squints his or her eyes, which means the eyes are fatigued, is easily and accurately determined; furthermore, when the actual distance H is no more than the preset distance h, which means the eyes are fatigued, through adjusting the screen parameters as preset values, the stimulus of the display screen to the fatigued eyes is reduced so that the purpose of reducing eyestrain is fulfilled, and eyes are protected.
