Abstract

With papaya seed benzyl glucosinolate extract as an object, the influence of the papaya seed benzyl glucosinolate extract upon mice humoral immunity, nonspecific immunity and immune organ index is studied according to the pharmacological methods provided in Technical Standards for Testing and Assessment of Immune-Health Foods by the Ministry of Health of the PRC. The results indicate that the papaya seed benzyl glucosinolate extract can significantly increase thymus index in mice, promote the generation of serum hemolysin and enhance the phagocytosis of peritoneal macrophage.
