Problems solved by technology

However, due to the slow development of the southbound protocol (OpenFlow) protocol in the SDN architecture, the support for the load balancing function of the service in the telecom transport network is insufficient, and the load balancing of the service flow during the transmission process cannot be realized.
[0004] In order to achieve load balancing of business flows during transmission, the current existing technologies mainly configure IP addresses manually or calculate load balancing through Hash algorithms. The main disadvantages of these methods are: the complexity of operation and maintenance is high , the forwarding efficiency of load balancing data is very low

Abstract

The embodiments of the present invention disclose a message forwarding method and apparatus applied to a software defined network (SDN), wherein the SDN comprises at least one controller and a plurality of servers. The method comprises the following steps that: link state information in the SDN is obtained; the load sharing table of the first server in the plurality of servers is generated according to the link state information and the address of the destination server of the first server in the plurality of servers; and the load sharing table is sent to a software switch on the first server so that the software switch on the first server can perform message forwarding according to the load balancing table. According to the message forwarding method and apparatus applied to the software defined network (SDN) provided by the embodiments of the present invention, the load sharing table is dynamically generated, and therefore, the forwarding efficiency of load balancing data can be improved, and the maintenance complexity of load balancing can be reduced.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of information technology, and more specifically, to a method and device for message forwarding in a software-defined network (SDN). Background technique [0002] With the increasing demand for large-scale Internet online applications, enterprise-level basic services, and cloud computing applications, data centers with hundreds of thousands or even millions of servers were born. Most of these data centers adopt a fat-tree network topology, with a huge number of switches, and a large number of OVS soft switches need to be managed. With the application of software-defined network (Software Defined Network, referred to as "SDN") technology in the data center, the configuration management work efficiency, network scalability and service deployment flexibility of the large-scale data center are improved. [0003] SDN is a new network architecture defined by the Open Network Foundation (ONF), which aims to redefine...
