Abstract

The invention aims at overcoming the shortcomings in the prior art and disclosing a MIPS-CPU test tool for practical teaching. By adoption of the idea of cooperative work of a MIPS CPU simulator and a hardware description language simulator, tests are divided into random instruction tests and comprehensive instruction tests. The test tool provides a good user interface, a convenient operation step and a complete test process, thereby greatly simplifying the test process. When a student designs and implements MIPS-CPU, the student does not need to face to tedious machine codes in rows nor verify the oscillograph instruction by instruction or check the memory, thereby avoiding the situation that the student does not know where to start in the case of an error, helping the student to better accomplish the CPU test work more quickly and saving a lot of time for the design of the MIPS-CPU.
