Benefits of technology

This new technology uses an axially symmetric spring made up of two springs connected together at one end called cables or wires. These springs have different shapes when stretched under tension like rods or bars. When there's no force on them they stay flat even if bent slightly backward due to gravity. By monitoring this change over time we get more accurate data about how heavy things move around us than before.

Problems solved by technology

This patents describes different types of devices for measuring Earth’s gravitations that work well at specific locations or under various terrains. However, current methods require extensive laboratory preparation and involve multiple steps involving precise placement of sensors onto mobile platforms like airplanes or satellites. These techniques may be prone to error due to factors including inclination angle, altitude, and wind speed. Additionally, existing terrestrial gravimetric systems suffer from poor precision when applied over uneven surfaces where there could exist bouncing motions caused by turbulence during flight.

Abstract

The invention discloses an axisymmetric elastic system and a gravimeter relating to the field of geosciences. The invention provides an axisymmetric elastic system which includes a first housing, a pendulum system, a measuring component and a damping feedback unit. The measuring component and the damping feedback unit are both disposed inside the first housing. The pendulum system is disposed on an end portion of the first housing. The damping feedback unit comprises a feedback coil, a damping coil and a magnet. The magnet is fixedly connected to an end, far from the pendulum system, of the first housing. The feedback coil and the damping coil both wind around a pouring weight. The feedback coil and the damping coil are both located in a groove. The feedback coil is used for letting in a current in order to detect the position of the pouring weight. The damping coil is used for letting in the current in order to provide a force for the pouring weight get away from the circumferential wall of the groove. A gravimeter employs the above axisymmetric elastic system, The axisymmetric elastic system and the gravimeter provided by the invention can satisfy demands of highly efficient, long-term and stable measurement of the gravitational acceleration.
