The compound (I) has a terphenyl structure and has very high optical anisotropy; the compound (II) contains cyclohexene and a 2,3-difluoro structure and is large in negative dielectric anisotropy and low in rotary viscosity; the compound (III) is a bicyclo compound and is low in rotary viscosity. The liquid crystal composition has low rotary viscosity, can be used in quick-responding liquid crystal display in various display modes, and can significantly improve display effects of a liquid crystal display when being applied in VA-mode displays, such as VA, MVA, PVA, PSVA and the like, or IPS-mode and FFS-mode displays.
