The method comprises the steps of: when an inductive signal is received, starting to time until an inductive signal generating end reaches a preset detection point, and calculating a traveling speed; inquiring an interval distance between adjacent solar LED street lamps, calculating control time, and sequentially controlling the solar LED street lamps to be switched to a working mode by using the control time as a time interval; and respectively detecting light emitting time of the solar LED street lamps in the working mode, and when the working time is equal to the control time, switching the solar LED street lamps operating for the light emitting time in the working mode to a sleep mode. According to the invention, when the inductive signal is not received, the solar LED street lamps are all in the sleep mode and only provide weak light, and when the inductive signal is received, along with movement of the inductive signal generating end, the solar LED street lamps are automatically controlled to be sequentially switched to the working mode so as to take an energy saving effect in a state of effectively providing illumination; and flow is simple and the automation degree is high.
