Problems solved by technology

A common disadvantage of most potential methods is that they are intended for offline analysis and require predefined simulation models, or they ignore the presence of concept drift in the underlying data generation process depending on the context of the manufacturing system (e.g., the processing of machines non-stationary distribution of time)

Embodiment Construction

[0057] figure 1 The context of the MOM system and analysis in the classic automation pyramid is schematically shown. The automation pyramid includes various layers / components. The field layer is located under the control layer, the control layer is related to the MOM management, and the MOM management communicates with the business layer. In the MOM system, there are context knowledge base O and context awareness layer

[0058] 1) Integrating various data sources at a semantic level in a dedicated contextual knowledge base,

[0059] 2) Keep track of changes in the context of data generation

[0060] 3) Ensure context awareness of analytics to support optimal and context sensitive decision making.

[0061] figure 2 A contextual agent architecture is depicted as a framework for semantic data integration and distribution. The illustrated framework integrates semantic context information into the deployment of analytical models in the manufacturing process. It is assumed t...

Abstract

The present invention generally relates to methods and apparatus for operating automated systems. A method for operating an automated system comprises the method steps of: a) providing a learning-based predictive model (M) for an automated system trained by process data (D) comprising the context of the automated process, b) receiving current information about the automated process information about the context, c) verify the context change by comparing the current context with the context of said process data, d) verify the concept drift by comparing the pre-drift process data with the post-drift process data in case of any context change, e ) retrain said model (M) with post-drift process data in case of any concept drift, f) test without context change by validating context change without detected random concept drift, g) in any random In case of concept drift the current context is extended by using data including previous context changes, h) otherwise no further method steps are required.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to methods and apparatus for operating automated systems. Background technique [0002] Due to the highly volatile and dynamic nature of today's marketplace, manufacturers are required to react more quickly to changing circumstances (for example, frequent product changeovers), yet still ensure efficient production planning and accurate throughput estimates. In general, since processing times for machines are not fixed but depend on several variables such as product type or material quality, an accurate estimate of these times needs to be available as a basis for implementing production planning. Therefore, computing high-precision estimates of processing times for all activities involved in manufacturing is an important task. [0003] With the imminent availability of real-time relevant data through the interconnectivity of all instances related to the value creation process in the recent "Industry" 4.0 vision, ...
