The invention discloses a cooking utensil and a heating control method used for the cooking utensil. The cooking utensil comprises a pot body, an inner pot, a cover body, a top temperature sensor, a pressure valve assembly, and a pressure valve switching mechanism. The pot body is internally provided with an inner pot heating device. The inner pot is arranged in the pot body, and can be heated byan inner pot heating device. The cover body is arranged on the pot body in an openable manner, and a cooking space is formed between the inner pot and the cover body. The cover body is internally provided with a steam discharge channel used to communicate the inner pot with external environment. The top temperature sensor is arranged in the steam discharge channel. The pressure valve assembly is internally provided with a steam discharge hole and a pressure component which can open and close the steam discharge hole. When the steam discharge hole is open, steam in the inner pot can be discharged from the steam discharge hole and the steam discharge channel. The pressure valve switching mechanism is used to control motion of the pressure component. The cooking utensil can realize accurate pressure control.
