Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for controlling a barrier gate. The method for controlling a barrier gate comprises: mounting a coil on a ground surface below a barrier rod, connecting the coil with a capacitor in a vehicle detector through a feeder line, to form an LC oscillating circuit; detecting whether oscillation frequency of the LC oscillating circuit changes relative to reference frequency, if yes, determining that a vehicle is below the barrier rod, generating a first detecting signal which keeps the barrier gate lifted, if not, determining that no vehicle is below the barrier rod, generating a second detecting signal which controls the barrier gate to go down; when a controller which controls lifting-up and putting-down of the barrier rod receives the first detectingsignal which is sent out by an anti-smashing inductor, keeping the barrier rod in a lifted-up state. The method and the system can determine whether a vehicle is below the barrier rod, when a vehicleis determined to be below the barrier rod, the barrier rod is kept in a lifted-up state, effectively preventing the barrier rod from smashing a vehicle below. The method and the system realize cloudreverse control of the barrier gate, arrangement of additional personnel on duty is not needed, and waste of time is prevented.
