Abstract

The invention provides an FC (Fibre Channel) aggregation link detection method. The method is used for forwarding equipment, and can comprise the steps that: opposite equipment connected with a localFC aggregation port negotiates to elect FC aggregation port detection equipment; if the equipment is elected as the FC aggregation port detection equipment, a member port is selected from the local FCaggregation port and used as a first reference port; the port states of the first reference port and the member port satisfying a first condition in the local FC aggregation port are set to electionstates used for indicating participation of data message forwarding; the port states of remaining member ports are set to non-election states used for indicating participation forbidding of data message forwarding; and the first condition is that the connected opposite port and the opposite port connected with the first reference port are at the same FC aggregation port. By utilization of the method, whether connection of the physical port of the FC aggregation link is normal or not can be detected automatically; and in addition, flow loss is prevented when connection of the physical port of the FC aggregation link is abnormal.
