Abstract

Therefore, with combination of frequency response characteristics of the biological cochlea, a sound response curve near a specific center frequency can be subdivided into a gentle passive section, an active section with selectivity, and a cut-off section with an abrupt change; the gentle passive section is processed by band-pass filtering; the active section with selectivity is processed by low-pass filtering; and the cut-off section with an abrupt change is processedby an elliptical low-pass filter unit.
