The data message processing method comprises the steps of acquiring a first data message which is transmitted by a first node; searching a session flow item which matches the first data message in a flow table according to address information of the first data message, wherein the session flow item comprises the current session states of network sessions which correspond with the first node and the second node, the current session states are used for indicating accessing relations of the first node and the secondnode, and the second node is the receiving end of the first data message; and if searching succeeds, processing the first data message according to the session flow item. An embodiment of the invention provides a processing mode for aiming at the bidirectional data message, thereby improving performance of a switch.
