Abstract

The invention provides a power grid cascading fault model solving method and an apparatus which are used for solving the problems that the solving calculation quantity is large and calculation resultsdiffer much from actual situations in a power grid cascading fault calculation process in the prior art. The method comprises the steps of: S101, acquiring the number of sub-power grids included in apower grid after a fault occurs and acquiring power station nodes, transformer substation nodes and lines connecting the nodes, which are included in each sub-power grid; S102, if each sub-power gridhas power station nodes and comprises at least two nodes and has no slack nodes, setting one power station node as a slack node; S103, performing the steps of alternating current optimal power flow and alternating current power flow according to the power station nodes, the transformer substation nodes and the lines in each sub-power grid. The method employs the alternating current optimal powerflow and the alternating current power flow to remove n% of the load for the line with the highest load proportion and then calculation converges. Compared the Manchester model, the method can reflecteconomic dispatch considered in actual power grid operation and obtain results more according with actual situations.
