Embodiment Construction

[0047] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments. The number of data pieces of the data set used in this embodiment is 30 pieces of data, and the data dimension is 4 dimensions.

[0048] An improved method of parallel coordinates based on non-uniform segmented mapping implemented in this embodiment, the implementation flow chart is shown in the attached figure 1 shown, including the following steps:

[0049] Step 1: For each dimension of the data set, the data range from the minimum value to the maximum value of the data is divided into multiple segments. The number of segments is set by the user. Generally, it needs to be set according to the data type and content. The number of segments of different data dimensions in the same dataset can be different.

[0050] Taking the first dimension data as an example, the minimum value of the first dimension data is min i = -12.0, the maximum value is max i=1...

Abstract

The invention relates to a non-uniform segmentation mapping-based parallel coordinate improvement method and belongs to the technical field of computer graphics and visualization. The method is implemented by the steps of uniformly dividing a data range into multiple segments for data of each dimension of a data set, performing statistics on a data segmentation frequency of each segment, and according to the data segmentation frequency, establishing a data segmentation frequency histogram of the current dimension; fusing the data segmentation frequency histogram of the data of each dimension in a corresponding coordinate axis, and establishing a segmentation parallel coordinate system; adjusting a height proportion of each segment in the coordinate axis of the segmentation parallel coordinate system to realize a non-uniform segmentation mapping parallel coordinate system; and for each piece of data in the data set, calculating a mapping position of the data in the non-uniform segmentation mapping parallel coordinate system, and according to the mapping position, drawing a non-uniform segmentation mapping-based parallel coordinate visual result. A distribution law of the data of allthe dimensions in the data set and a correlation relationship between adjacent dimensions can be displayed at the same time; overlapping of visual effects is reduced; and the visual analysis efficiency is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an improved parallel coordinate method for multi-dimensional data visualization, which belongs to the technical field of computer graphics and visualization. [0002] technical background [0003] Parallel coordinates is a common method for visualization and visual analysis of multidimensional data sets. In parallel coordinates visualization results, each dimension of multidimensional data is represented by a series of parallel coordinate axes, and a data point in multidimensional space is expressed as For a polyline whose inflection point is on N parallel coordinate axes, the position on the K-th coordinate axis represents the data value of this point in the K-th dimension. [0004] In the visualization results of parallel coordinates, when the data distribution of the data set is very uneven (that is, a large amount of data is concentrated around some data points), serious overlapping problems of visualization results are pron...
