Abstract

The present invention provides a shovel capable of improving fuel efficiency of an engine. The shovel of the present invention includes: an engine; a hydraulic pump driven by the engine; a hydraulic driver driven by hydraulic oil supplied from the hydraulic pump; a working device driven by the hydraulic driver; an operating device operating the working device; and a control unit controlling the rotational speed of the engine, the control unit estimating an operator's operating intention based on the operating state of the operating device, and increasing the rotational speed of the engine based on the estimated result.
