The invention discloses a metro traffic management system based on augmented reality (AR). After being integrated with a hardware structure, the management system is installed at an entrance of a metro, and a passenger carries the system in the process of taking the metro. The system specifically comprises an acquisition unit, an AR display unit and a scenery viewing unit, wherein the acquisitionunit is used for scanning and collecting environment information of a current platform in the metro and searching for geographic position information of the current platform; the AR display unit receives scene information transmitted by the acquisition unit and performs AR display on the scene; and according to the scenery viewing unit, a user adopts the acquisition unit to collect image information on a publicity advertisement in a metro compartment or a metro platform in the process of taking the metro and transmits the image information to the scenery viewing unit, and the scenery viewing unit performs depth-of-field data extraction and virtual object establishment on the received image information and transmits an established virtual object to the AR display unit for 3D effect displayof the image.
