Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method for management of BSS (Basic service set) Color. The method comprises the steps of: sending an indication message to an STA (Station) through an AP (Access Point), wherein the indication message is configured to direct the STA to set the first BSS Color as the BSS Color, wherein the indication message carries the first BSS Color; receiving a confirmation message sent by the STA according to the indication message through the AP, wherein the confirmation message is configured to direct the STA to confirm that the first BSS Color is set as the BSS Color; and employing the first BSS Color to perform communication with the STA through the AP according to the confirmation message. According to the method for management of BSS Color provided bythe embodiment of the invention, after the AP receives the confirmation message sent by the STA, the first BSS Color is employed to perform communication with the STA, and therefore, the packet loss ratio of the STA is reduced, the power waste is reduced, and the spatial multiplex ratio is improved.
