Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for embedding watermarks into video images. The method comprises the steps of making watermark templates according to watermark information; determining constraint areas of center points in watermark embedding areas according to sizes of the video images and the sizes of the watermark templates, wherein the constraint areas are greater than the watermarktemplates, the watermark embedding areas are used for embedding the watermark templates, and the watermark embedding area match the watermark templates; for the video images, determining positions ofthe center points of the watermark embedding areas in the constraint areas, randomly moving the center points of the watermark embedding areas in the constraint areas based on a random vector j, and determining the positions of the watermark embedding areas in the video images according to the center points of the watermark embedding areas; and embedding the watermark templates into the watermarkembedding areas of the video images according to preset transparency. According to the method and the device provided by the invention, the video editing operation of watermark removing software can be effectively resisted, the watermark removing software is difficult to predict the watermark areas, and the watermark removing video editing operation of the watermark removing software is deactivated.
