Problems solved by technology

[0006] However, the existing accelerators can only load images with specific functions even when loading images, and do not support dynamic loading of different images on demand, and cannot realize different functions
In this way, when different acceleration functions are required, corresponding hardware accelerators must be provided, resulting in waste of resources

Embodiment Construction

[0037] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0038] Such as figure 1 As shown, it is a schematic structural diagram of an accelerator loading system 100 provided by an embodiment of the present invention. The accelerator loading system 100 includes an accelerator loading device 200 and one or more hosts 300 . For convenience of description, figure 1 A host 300 is taken as an example. A virtualized infrastructure manager (English: Virtualized Infrastructure Manager, VIM for short) is deployed on the accelerator loading device 200 , and an NFV infrastructure (English: NFV Infrastructure, NFVI for short) is deployed on the host 300 . Wherein, the VIM is used to control and manage computing, storage and network resources of all NFVIs, and each NFVI includes hardware and software components for establishing an operating environment of virtual network functions (English: virtual network functions, VNFs for short)....

Abstract

The invention provides an accelerator loading method and system. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining an acceleration demand by an accelerator loading device, wherein the acceleration demand an acceleration function of a to-be-created virtual machine and acceleration performance of the to-be-created virtual machine; determining a mirror image which satisfies the acceleration function and the acceleration performance and a target host where an available accelerator capable of loading the mirror image is located by the accelerator loading device; and sending a mirror image loading command to the target host by the accelerator loading device, wherein the mirror image loading command comprises a descriptor of the mirror image and is used for enabling the target host to load the mirror image for the available accelerator according to the mirror image loading command. According to the method, the target host capable of creating the virtual machine can be determined according to the acceleration function and the acceleration performance of the to-be-created virtual machine, and the mirror image for acceleration is loaded onto the available accelerator of the target host,so that the dynamic loading and deployment of the accelerator are realized.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to acceleration technology, in particular to an accelerator loading method, system and accelerator loading device. Background technique [0002] A network operator's network is usually composed of a large-scale and rapidly growing variety of hardware devices. Developing a new network service or network function often requires new types of equipment, and it is becoming more and more difficult to find space and provide power for these new types of equipment. What's more, hardware life cycles are getting shorter and service creation is accelerating, which inhibits the deployment of new value-added services and limits innovation in the growing network-centric field. [0003] Network Functions Virtualization (English: Network Functions Virtualisation, referred to as: NFV) borrows virtualization technology to merge many types of network devices into high-capacity servers, switches or storage devices that meet industry standards...
