The method comprises a failure determining test and an accelerating life test, wherein the failure determiningtest comprises the following steps: grouping sealing ring samples; correspondingly storing in an ageing box with gradient temperature property; performing high-temperature ageing, compression and recovery, and measuring of the permanent compression deformation rate of the sealing ring; the accelerating life test comprises the following steps: grouping a certain number of sealing ring samples; assembling into test tools with the same medium as the sealing ring product based on the test requirement; circularly performing high-temperature ageing, compression and recovery, and measuring of the permanent compression deformation rate of the sealing ring under gradient temperature loads below the high temperature tolerance limit of the sealing ring correspondingly, until the permanent deformation rate of 50% or more of sealing ring samples in each group reaches the failure standard. With the adoption of the method, the service life of the sealing ring can be accurately and effectively predicated, and mechanical equipment can normally run through the method.
