The method comprises the steps that TIG welding is started, and a TIG arc is ignited; and after the TIG arc is set up, MIG welding adopting direct current reverse polarity is started, after the non-load voltage of MIG welding is loaded, along with the situation that an MIG welding wire is fed towardsa workpiece or feeding of the MIG welding wire is not started yet, a discharge channel extends out of the tail end of the MIG welding wire and develops to a TIG arc area, and therefore a clearance between the tail end of the MIG welding wire and the TIG arc is broken down; and the MIG arc is subjected to noncontact ignition through the discharge channel. According to the method, arc ignition is fast and reliable, no welding splash is generated in the whole arc ignition process, and the arc ignition performance of MIG welding is ensured.
