Abstract

The invention provides saxifrage extract which is ethanol extract. An extraction method of the ethanol extract comprises the following steps: weighing 800g of a crushed sample, soaking plant dry powder with 5 times amount of ethanol, and performing standing for 12h at room temperature; performing ultrasonic extraction for 2h; performing suction filtration under the reduced pressure; performing continuous extraction for 3 times; mixing the filtrate; performing concentration with a rotary evaporator at 45 DEG C; performing drying; and then, performing preservation at 4 DEG C for standbylater use. The invention also provides application of the saxifrage extract as a plant antibacterial substance. The saxifrage extract provided by the invention is a plant-derived biological pesticide, has thecharacteristics of being high in antibacterial activity, wide in antibacterial spectrum, not liable to generate resistance and nontoxic to people and animals, and can improve the food safety of grapefruits.
