The method comprises the following steps of (1) initializing tape library operation; (2) according to a tape library driver number selected in the step (1), generating a same number of data writing executors, wherein each data writing executor corresponds to a tape library driver; (3) processingdata, dividing the data into data groups and performing writing; (4) continuing to execute the step (3) until the data transmitted from a data source is all received and processed; and (5) ending thebackup, and releasing resources. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the data protection window time can be greatly shortened and the performance of migrating the data to tapes can be improved.
