The method is characterized by pre-determining a fault diagnosiscircuit, and embedding the fault diagnosis circuit into a processing circuit where a hybrid circuit chip to be detected is located. The on-line fault detection process comprises the following steps:in the process of normal operation of equipment where the hybrid circuit chip is located, collecting parameter values of preset fault sensitive parameters of the hybrid circuit chip in real time; carrying out feature extraction on the collected parameter value of each fault sensitive parameter to obtain current oscillogram characteristics of each fault sensitive parameter; matching the obtained current oscillogram characteristics of each fault sensitive parameter with a preset correspondence relation between oscillogram characteristics and fault modes to obtain a fault mode corresponding to the current oscillogram characteristics; and according to the obtained fault mode, determining a fault diagnosis result and outputting the result.
