The sensing and monitoring device includes a plurality of wireless sensor nodes deployed randomly in a set mountain landslide monitoring area. The wireless sensor nodes constitute a wireless sensor network used for sensing and collecting mountain environment monitoring data in an ad hoc mode. The mountain environment monitoring data collected by the wireless sensor nodes is eventually transmitted to the base station.
