Abstract

The invention discloses a laser projection module control method, a control device, a depth camera and an electronic device. A laser projection module comprises a laser emitter. The laser emitter includes point light sources which form a plurality of independently controlled light-emitting arrays. The control method comprises the steps of acquiring a first image and a second image of a user, calculating the projection distance between the user and the laser projection module according to the first image and the second image, determining the target number of light-emitting arrays according to the projection distance, and turning on the point light sources in the light-emitting arrays of the target number. According to the control method, the control device, the depth camera and the electronic device provided in the embodiment of the invention, the point light sources are divided into a plurality of light-emitting arrays which can be independently controlled. During the working of the laser projection module, the first image and the second image are acquired for calculating the projection distance. After that, the target number of the light-emitting arrays is determined according tothe projection distance. Therefore, the number of the turned-on light-emitting arrays can be prevented from being too large. The problem that the emitted laser energy is too large to cause harm to eyes of a user is solved.
