Abstract

The present invention discloses techniques for providing a secure FTM exchange of finely timed measurements between two wireless transceivers. An example of a method according to the present disclosure comprises: transmitting a protected FTM distance request message with a dialog token of an FTM frame, receiving a protected FTM distance report message from a station, wherein the protected FTM distance report message contains FTM information, and authenticating the station based at least in part on the FTM information contained in the protected FTM distance report message.
