The method includes the following steps: S100. selecting a cooperation destination router and a destination terminal device from alternative routers of different models and terminal devices of different models; S200. sending distribution network information of the selected destination router to the destination terminal device; S300. controlling the destination terminal device to send the distribution network information to a to-be-tested intelligent device to make the to-be-tested intelligent device perform a distribution network connection with the destination router according to the received distribution network information; and S400. determining whether the distribution network connection is successful between the to-be-tested device and the destination router. The method and system can test the compatibility of the distribution network which is not considered in the prior art, so that once the to-be-tested device with qualified compatibility is applied to a market, and can match the majority of the terminal device and the router from the aspect of the distributionnetwork, and the compatibility is extremely strong.
