Abstract

An antibacterial ceramic glaze is disclosed. The glaze includes, by weight, 40-60 parts of silica, 10-20 parts of alumina, 5-10 parts of zirconium dioxide, 1-3 parts of calcium oxide, 6-8 parts of sodium oxide, 1-5 parts of potassium oxide, 5-10 parts of boron trioxide, 2-4 parts of sodium hexafluorosilicate, 4-8 parts of zinc oxide, and 2-6 parts of composite antibacterial powder. The composite antibacterial powder is a mixture of titanium dioxide, magnesium phosphate and silver phosphate in a weight ratio of 2:1:1. A preparation method of the glaze is also provided by the invention. The method includes (1) weighing the components in abovementioned weight parts, fully mixing and stirring the components, calcining the mixture at 1100-1200 DEG C for 1-3 h, and naturally cooling to room temperature, and (2) adding a certain amount of deionized water into the calcined raw materials in the step (1), performing ball milling for 12-24 h until the glaze having a particle size of 90-110 meshesis obtained, and drying the glaze at 90-110 DEG C for 1-2 h to obtain the antibacterial ceramic glaze. Through addition of the composite antibacterial powder into the ceramic glaze, good and durableantibacterial performance can be achieved.
