The method comprises the steps of receiving traffic data sent by a user terminal; identifying a business type of the traffic data according to each history business feature in pre-stored history business feature data records; sending the traffic data to the feature database if the identification is unsuccessful,and receiving the business type of the traffic data and the corresponding business feature, wherein the business type and the corresponding business feature are returned by the feature database; and updating the history business feature data records according to the business type of the traffic data and the corresponding business feature. After the traffic data is received, the business type of the traffic data is identified according to each history business feature in the pre-stored history business feature data records, and the traffic data is sent to the remote feature database only when the identification is unsuccessful, so identification efficiency of identifying the business type of the traffic data is effectively improved, and operation pressure of the feature database is relatively reduced.
